With your help we have been able to grant scholarships yearly to two speech-language pathology and/or audiology graduate students at each of the six state universities which offer speech-language pathology and/or audiology programs:Central Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University, Wayne State University, and Western Michigan University.
We are committed to recognizing and helping those students who we hope will become the backbone of our professions in the state of Michigan.
The Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation has three goals:
• To provide merit-based scholarships for students pursuing education in the field of communication sciences and disorders and/or education of the hearing impaired within Michigan with the intent to practice in Michigan.
• To support continuing professional development and education for professionals within the fields of communication sciences and disorders and education of the hearing impaired.
• To provide treatment scholarships for individuals with communication disorders in order to receive treatment services, acquire assistive technologies for communication, and/or be given support for other resources required to participate in their lives.
Founded in 2006, we are still a young organization. We are currently addressing our first goal. Please help us to achieve all three of our goals by donating today. This is also a good way to honor or memorialize a friend or family member, and a great way to give a gift to someone who would appreciate this investment in the future of our professions. As a 501(c)(3) organization, all donations are tax deductible.
